"We were very dissapointed. We believe the bedding had some kind of bed bugs because all of us developed red bites on our body. Despite the fact that we arrived early and our room was not ready because it was being cleaned, the room (including the kitchen and bathroom)were VERY dirty. So we carried six suitcases the five blocks to the office where they were very happy to store the bags until we returned. The kitchenette had what looked like plum peelings stuck to various places on the wall. The counters were dirty, and we had to clean up the bathroom as well. The carafe was broken around the edge and very jagged. The room air conditioner stuck in the window leaked cold air around it onto the bed (located 8 inches from the window/ac unit). The telephone had an answer machine (disconnected) because there was no phone number on the phone that would make it useful to have people call us. The desk chair had one arm that had fallen off and was thrown into the closet. The legs were falling off the coffee table. The fireplace had no grate, so it was useless. There was no cd player, despite it being advertised. The bathroom had no heater. The toilet seat was half attached. The bathtub badly stained as well as poorly operating. The place had one set of towels, and they didn't provide sheets for the pullout sofa until we fussed. Amenities like toilet paper were not supplied either. There was no maid service, ever. We emptied trash, etc. The small refrigerator in the kitchenette had frozen over so completely that the top was nothing more than a solid block of ice. The "suite" should have been advertised as a one-room bedroom with a sofa bed. There is no dresser to store clothes. No SERVICE PROVIDED. It was no suite. In the summertime, it would be unbearably hot in the bathroom, even with the window unit. I have stayed in larger, cleaner midtown hotelrooms for less money. It certainly gave us the experience of being relatively poor and having the experience of living in a one-room flat in the west village. I'd never recommend any of their properties."

"No one was in attendence to give room key. No one answered the phones that were posted on the door. It was bitter cold outside. Luckily, the main customer service office was able to secure another hotel room nearby."

Amidst West Village shops and restaurants, Signature Suites is located approximately two blocks from SoHo and 15 miles from John F Kennedy International Airport.

The property offers free local calls. All suites have queen-size beds, queen-size pullout sofa beds, dining areas, full kitchens, desks, cable TV, VCRs, stereos, air-conditioning, alarm clocks, dataports, and hardwood floors. Units are all non-smoking.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE SUITES ARE IN A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING, NOT IN A TRADITIONAL HOTEL ENVIRONMENT. THEREFORE, THERE ARE NOT AS MANY AMENITIES AS A HOTEL. HOWEVER, YOU WILL BE IN THE HEART OF GREENWICH VILLAGE.
