"We stayed at Herald Square Hotel on our recent trip to NY. Room was good, water hot but very disappointed with customer service!!
They had only booked 1 room whereas I had got a confirmed booking of 2, they forgot to book a taxi for our homeward journey and worst of all they overcharged me on my bill.
I had a confirmed booking of 99$ per room per night excluding taxes and they charged me 238$ per room per night. When I tried to explain this to them the guy at the desk said "talk to the manager" but as it was 5.00 am in the morning he was not there! so he said I would have to ring him. Well I am in the UK and I don't6 want to spend money on expensive phone calls, so I have faxed the Hotel explaining what has happened with copies of hotel reservations from freehotelguide.com asking for a credit of $160 on my credit card... and I am still awaiting some acknoledgement.
