"The staff is great. I would stay at the Franklin on every visit to NYC but when I come with my family I need a suite or connecting rooms. But, when Im on my own I really enjoy the Franklin and reccomend it to everyone. Keep the prices reasonable. Stick to the formula...a clean, safe, pleasent room in NYC under $200.00 (with tax)!"

"The first night, the toilet ran all night. It was Saturday and I told that the plumber would not be available until Sunday and that there were no other available rooms. It was very difficult to sleep since the toilet was on the other side as the head of the bed. The staff didn't seem to appreciate the inconveince of the situation. I would have thought management would have at least offered me a room rate reduction for the inconvenience. Also, was I asked for a cab to the airport when leaving, I was told the fee was $35 (2 times the usual cost) plus toll fee. The nature of the expensive cab fee was explained to me. From a customer service perspective, it is really a bad idea. It was clealt a rip-off which I decided to decline. It unfortunately gave me a very negative feeling of the hotel as I left. I would think management would try to be a bit more customer friendly."

"Rooms are way over heated. Several folks in our group needed to figure out how to turn the heat off completely and turn on the A/C or open windows in order to sleep. Rooms are small but very clean and well kept -- and the location is terrific."

"I have never stayed in so small a room. Also, couldn't figure out how to turn off the light in back of the bed, and had to unplug it from the wall. People at the desk were exceptionally pleasant and attentive."

Nearby attractions include Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum, American Museum of Natural History, and the Empire State Building, all within three miles.

The Franklin features a bright living room, library nook, French Bistro Style Breakfast Lounge, wireless internet, flat screen televisions and an attentive staff.

The hotel has 50 beautifully appointed guest rooms. All rooms include imported Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters and pillows, luxurious bathrobes, Aveda bath amenities, executive work areas, voicemail, CD players and hairdryers.

There is a mandatory service charge of 12 per night which is already included in the service fees. This charge is for local phone calls, breakfast, and wireless internet access.
